Amy's father hadn't been to his hometown for 60 years, when he was 10 and visited his dying grandfather. He was born in the house pictured here and left as a 2 year old when the japanese invaded in WWII.
The family who have lived there ever since, kindly allowed us to visit. The house and surrounding villiage is very old (300+ years) and is obviously still quite 3rd world by our standards. The 5th picture is where where Amy's dad was actually born. The upstairs was dark and dingy with no power. But the family seemed quite happy and enjoy life. They made us the best seafood banquet you could ever expect.
