Nanjing Geological Museum

Today we visited Nanjing Geological Museum, which is part of the Geological complex that Amy's father used to work for his entire career. He was a geologist.

The rock formation is real and I thought they might have knocked it off from Northern Ireland's famous Giant's Causeway that we visited last year. But in fact they lifted it from a nearby area. I thought it was a coastal formation, but seems not.

The museum, although small, had one of the best rock and mineral collections I've seen in any western museum.
